Westerley is as much about good company as it is about good cycling.
Coffee stops on rides
Built-in breaks: Every club ride includes a planned coffee stop, giving everyone a chance to catch up, warm up, and enjoy a slice of something tempting.
Atmosphere: Expect friendly faces, good conversation and cafés that know us well.
Tea and cakes after events
Post-ride treats: After our organised events we gather for tea and cakes — a Westerley tradition and the perfect way to swap stories and celebrate the day.
Regular meetups
Third Thursday Curry Club: Once a month we head to Wetherspoons for curry, conversation and plenty of laughs.
Refreshment locations: In winter we settle into the Sir Michael Balcon in Ealing; in summer we migrate to the Greenwood Hotel in Northolt for a change of scenery and seasonal brews.
Seasonal and special socials
Mid-summer drinks: A relaxed evening outdoors to toast the sunshine and the miles we’ve shared.
Annual dinner: Our big night of the year — good food, good company and a chance to recognise the achievements that make the club special.
Long rides and pub/café hunting
Adventure rides: On our longer outings we’re always on the lookout for new pubs, cafés and hidden gems. Half the fun is discovering somewhere none of us have tried before.
Trips near and far
Exploring together: Beyond our regular rides, we organise fun trips to explore local sights, sounds and hospitality — from scenic corners of the UK to adventures further afield.
Whether you’re after steady miles, social company, or a new café recommendation, Westerley’s social calendar has something for you.
