Westerley has a long history as a time trialling club, and is a long-standing member of the London West District of the Cycling Time Trials organisation.

We organise a series of time trials over the Spring and Summer at the closed Hillingdon circuit. They offer a good introduction to the sport for a beginner in a much less intimidating environment than a large event. Also as a member of Westerley you can enter the West London Combine events at no extra cost.

The Hillingdon TTs are enormously popular and take place fortnightly on Wednesday evenings during the summer months. You don’t need to have all the "Professional" equipment to take part in one of these. It’s perfectly fine to race with normal drop bars and we have had all sorts of bikes including Moultons, Bromptons, mountain bikes, plus the odd recumbent and velomobile.

WESTERLEY WEDNESDAYS, 10.35 miles

The time trials are 10.35 miles in distance (11 laps) on a car free outdoor circuit. They are open to anybody but enter online before the event to avoid any disappointment. We use an electronic timing system which will give you very accurate times, also other data such as lap time, lap speed, fastest lap.

Previous entrants have found that this is the best environment to get into time trialling as it is car free and safe.

In 2026 the events start on Wednesday 22nd April and you sign up via Rider HQ and search for Westerley. Westerley members get a substantial discount per ride. There is also the opportunity to pay for the season upfront at a knock down price.
